I have a 1993 Plymouth Laser, 1.8- Recently I replaced the battery and two of the belts but not the belt that goes around the crank. There was also a tensioner bolt that was broken off that I replaced. After replacing the worn belts i now have a whining/screaking noise that always happens when I first start the car then it goes away after the engine has run for about two minutes. But it also occurs during other times as well. It mostly happens when accelerating from a stop and goes away again after the car shifts (automatic). It sounds like it is coming from the alternator shaft but im not really sure because it is so loud. All the belts have about 1/2 inch play in them. Any suggestions?
