I was driving my car over the past couple of weeks the speedometer has been going crazy it will normally happen around 40mph it will bounce from 40mph to 100mph at constant speed it was making a loud screetching sound for the last week. Today on my way to work there was a loud pop and the speedometer dropped to zero and hasn't moved since. the car seems to work fine just no speed the tachometer and the milage still work normal.

if this has a cable the cable broke, if not the speed senor is probably worn out. You'll need a new one in both cases anyhow.
