1961 Other Plymouth Models

Have a 1947 Plymouth (desregrad 1961) Have manual window regulators. When rolled up passenger side drops approx 1 inch when door is shut and you can push the rest of the window down by pushing down on the top of the window.

I've taken the regulator out, the teeth all look good (I though that would be the problem) so I'm not sure of the mechancis of this part. The regulator I need is most likey not avail.

So is there any repair I can make that would keep the glass from falling with the window in the up position? Thanks, Paul

Hi there,

I would check that all the riveted pivot points are not to sloppy, when the regulator is in the up position, watch to see what moves when you apply a little up and down force on the glass.
