1959 Other Plymouth Models 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

My son has a 1955 Plymouth Savoy. Said he has been getting gas mixed in with the oil. What might be the issue here ?

ruptured diaphram in the fuel pump or a leaking fuel bowl in the carburetor and or bad carb float or needle and seat.
