1996 Plymouth Neon Transmission noise?

I have 96 neon with a recently replace used transmission with 46k on it and i hear a tinking noise coming from believed the transmission area ( sounds like metal hitting)Tink, when i put it in drive it tinks but after a while it seems to go away for a bit ,but when in reverse it stops tinking but only happens in drive.

Hi this could be from a metal heat shield between the trans and the engine. This sometimes gets bent during removing or replacing. and it will be in reverse or in forward. hardly ever both. another thing have the torque convertors checked they occasionally come loose and witt hit the shield
