Engine Mechanical problem
1988 Plymouth Horizon 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
hello
the car sat awhile and when i boosted it it would not start. i changed the fuel pump because it was bad.
Now the car starts and shuts off in 3 seconds and i can start it right away and it does the same thing. It has spark through out the problem. i checked the injector for dirt, regulator for movement and automatic shut down relay.
i have fuel pressure at the TBI.
I am ready to junk it but it lokks new and its my mothers car.
Thank you very much!!!

Hi:
If you have spark and fuel, check the catylatic converter. See if it is plugged.

let me know what you find.
