MY 88 PLYMOUTH COLT WONT DRIVE WHEN I PUT IT IN GEAR IVE ALREADY MADE SURE THE BRAKE IS RELEASED IT SEEMS LIKE THERE IS JUST ALL OF A SUDDEN LOST ALL OF ITS TORQUE

Does the engine stall when you let the clutch out? If not, suspect a problem inside the transmission or a broken inner cv joint on one of the half shafts. Could be a broken outer joint too, but the spinning shaft would make a horrendous noise when you released the clutch.
