1999 Plymouth Breeze engine dies at stop

Engine Performance problem
1999 Plymouth Breeze 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 198000 miles

Engine tries to die when car comes to a stop, engine rpm drops and tries to recover. Engine is a 2.4L 4cyl. Thought of doing tune up and replacing TPS, then cleaning air intake system but dont know how to clean yet. Engine otherwise runs good with good power and timing belt has been replace.

Was the battery recently replaced, disconnected, or run dead? If so, you need to do the minimum throttle relearn procedure.
