1999 Plymouth Breeze Automatic 105000 miles

The light that tells me my emergency/parking brake is on will not turn off. It stays on despite releasing the brake fully. Is this an issue that I should have looked at, or should I get used to that light being on?

Faulty Park Brake Switch will cause this. The switch is located at the base of the park brake lever. It is not needed for the parking brake to operate properly, it simply causes the instrument panel brake lamp to stay illuminated.
