After charging the battery on 98 Plymouth breeze wont turn over and red light on steering column is blinking. A burgler alarm was 1st going off so I cut the wire to that since I dont need it and couldnt shut it off. What is red light for?

sounds like you need to be resetting your theft system. you cant cut the wire. it disables the vehicle if the battery has been replaced.
