I put a trickle charge overnight on my Breeze without disconnecting my battery. I charged at the posts in the engine compartment. The car battery is only about 6 months old but the car has sat around for a couple months. I never had a problem till I charged the battery in this manner. Then the car started up but the battery light on the dash began to light up about 10 seconds after the car started running.
I changed the alternator but the problem remained. I had the alternator tested and it passed at Autozone. Next, I replaced the PCM with a used one from a salvage yard and the problem remained. I think I may just have bought a bad PCM (cost $30) but I don't know how to confirm the problem is in the PCM without buying another one that is rebuilt or new. Do you think the PCM is the problem or did I miss something that may be causing the battery light to come on. I understand that the regulator is in the PCM and not the alternator.
