front end question

the front end of my car is making a rumbling sound when i start moving. the noise louder backing up but starts small going forward then gets louder. the brakes shake when i slow down and sometimes the grinding sound gets softer when i brake. I had trouble turning and i dont know if thats sounds like a bearing or a brake problem what are your suggetions.

It seems that you are correct, wheel bearings or metal to metal pads will make those noises, best thing is to strip and examine to see what parts you need and what damage has been done.
