1993 plymouth acclaim 11184.05 miles 4 cylinder 2.5 L
For the past few years that the car has been owned by my dad it has made a squeeling noise. He bought it and it was fine for about a year then the noise started. He took it in and they said it was the adjuster screw for the alternator. They didnt have a extra but they rigged something up and it was fine for about a month, then it started again. A few years later, which was a few months ago he gave the car over to me now im trying to fix the problem. The place i took it into replaced the belts and the break pads, both needing to be replaced badly anyways. The squeel went away for a few hours but came back not even the next day. I took it back in and they said it was the alternator. So i replaced the entire bracket holding the alternator and the alternator its self and it still makes a harsh squeeling noise that gets louder when you rev the engine. I dont know what to do from here. Please help asap

You should check the alternator and ac compressor belt strecher. In some cases as far as I know if it's a poor quality belt it make noises. It could be the alternator too but in most cases the belts are the one causing noise problems.
I have a Acclaim 94 and it has some noises too, but are acceptable (not too loud).
Good luck.

Another interesting thing is the faster the engine runs the faster and louder the noise gets
