Engine Performance problem
1994 Plymouth Acclaim 6 cyl Automatic 155000 miles

Hello, the other day my acclaim started acting up. The check engine light comes on randomly, but lately it's been from the moment I start the car up, to the moment I cut the ignition. When the spark plugs where checked, all where clean, and looked almost brand new. The last time I drove the car, it wouldn't go over 50 with out, what I call, the "death shake" where it feels like the car is going to fall apart beneath my feet. What might be causing this?

Hello, I'd check troublecodes. You should be able to access codes by cycling the ignition, on--off, on--off, on then the check engine lite starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. When cycling the switch, don't crank it.

As far as spark, is the cap and rotor ok? Can you check for spark at each plug, when the problem occurs? Maybe you can get to act-up in the driveway? Fuel pressure ok?
