1993 PLYMOUTH ACCLAIM ALL GEARS ARE DRIVE!

I have a 93 plymouth acclaim with a 3.0 v6 with 122000 miles and when i go to put it into gear, like reverse, it still drives forward and when i am driving it does not shift out of 1st gear. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Have the gear linkage adjusted at the tranny.
