I had my alternator replaced twice and my battery replaced 3 times after that. The first alternator lasted 2 days the 2nd on lasted 2 weeks. The starter and battery are good. What can be making the car burn through so many alternators?

Hi,

By any chance, are you getting the faulty alternators replaced with the same brand from the same place each time? Are they new or remanufactured parts? Are you sure it is the alternator and not a connection issue?

I have experienced issues with remanufactured parts so many times. Interestingly, if one is bad, the next one seems the same. It's just a theory at this point.

If it has failed and you still have the vehicle, follow this link and let me know the results:

Let me know the results.

Take care,
