My heater core is leaking. We have the dash mostly off and can see the plenum chamber but it will not move towards the back of the car. Is there a secret connector we are not seeing? What exactly is a rh wheelhouse door?

Really, are you sure the pictures are of a town car? I think we are having problems with the floor duct, I read somewhere about cutting something, could not follow, that is why I am here!

The pictures are from a a mechanic who has passed this on and yes it is from a Town Car. if you are talking about the rear floor duct some guys took the seat out you will need to remove the console as well if removing heater core. for the rear duct you cut each side of it so it will bend back, there are also a couple of cowl bolts to remove

Yes, I think I have the nuts the picture referenced off. Is there enough any way to prevent having to cut anything, if not where do I cut it? Can removing the console make moving the floor ducts easier because I am having trouble picking the plenum over the floor duct-work. I appreciate your help more than you know!

You cut the floor duct work at corners so you can bend it out of the way if you take console off then it makes duct work easier to come off, but cutting it you do not need to remove console. Then use duct tape to cover where you cut it.

Is there a picture of where I should cut the rear footwear duct? I am confused, maybe dumb, but am I going to have to take the passenger seat out? If I wanted to remove the center seat and armrest will this eliminate cutting or is doing this a huge waste of time? I only need about four more inches to clear the wiring harness in front of the dash!

You cut it where it connects to heater you can pull seat if you want as well as console, but a lot of work. The thing I sent was off of our tips page to make it faster for mechanics to get the job done.
