I parked the car one day, and the battery died. Got a new one. Then the car wouldn't start. It just turned over. Was told it was the fuel pump. With the help of God I changed it myself. It took a lot of cranking but it finally started, at first it ran a little ruff but it cleared up and ran like a champ. I drove it a good 30 miles with no problem. When I parked it and turned it off I re cranked it several times with no problem just to make sure. The next morning, it was very cold, I tried and tried to start it. All it is doing is turning over and over. It will not start. Please tell me what to do. We live check to check and I without our car we will surely suffer, God bless you. I hope you can help.

Is there a check engine light or service engine soon warning light on?
When it is cranking and not turning over pull one of the sparkplug wires and stick a screwdriver in the end were the spark plug would go. Be careful (take care not to electricute yourself by wearing gloves) and position the screw driver near metal on the engine. Have someone else crank the engine over and check for good spark (white/ blue spark 3/8inch away from metal). If there is no spark suspect the crankshaft position sensor is causing the engine not to start.
