Wire set-replaced, EGR valve-replaced, fuel pump-replaced and the vacuum lines checked. Still pings! What is the part that regulates the fuel flow to
the injectors and where is it located? Or what else could it be?
Also, the compression is fine.

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge. it may require premium gas to stop pinging. besides the knock sensor will retard ignition to stop it and would run bad. so it may be something else. have a local mechanic see if he can diagnose it.
