Pilot bearing

Yes. There is a pilot bearing. Here is a link to a parts website and as you can see in the clutch kit, the pilot bearing is included:

Yes, to answer your question there is a pilot bearing that is in the crankshaft the transmission input shaft fits into. Can you explain a little bit more why you think there may not be? Danny and I separately confirmed and found the same info. There is a pilot bearing there because if there were not you would have the input and crank going metal to metal and it would wear out in less then 100 miles.

Have you taken it apart and not found the pilot bearing? Just trying to better understand the issue so we can assist. Thanks.

All manual transmissions have a pilot bearing. If there was no pilot bearing within the flywheel assembly there would be so much excessive gap that the transmission input shaft would get destroyed by not being kept firmly in place. You mentioned you replaced the release bearing I'm thinking you meant the clutch throw out bearing. If brake fluid is leaking from the clutch system or area that could be the hydraulic clutch slave cylinder or reservoir. We have repair guides for that a well.
