Hi all. My PP is not recharging the battery when the engine is running. The alternator has ~7.3v on the excitation side.

Q1: Does anyone know what the excitation voltage should be for a typical 12v alternator? It's either the alternator or the regulator which is dead.

Q2: Does anyone know the location of the charger regulator?

Thanks in advance. :o)

Get the battery and alternator load tested. Sounds like the alternator is not putting out. Get it up on a VAT machine
