1997 Other Peugeot Models new clutch

i have just put a new clutch in my car and can easily select any gear when the engine aint running,but as soon as i start the engine it is difficult to select a gear,i know its not the cable.could you help me with any suggestions?

if you are sure the cable is adjusted correctly .. you will have to remove the clutch to verify it installed correctly !!
