when you start the engine this sign appears and after setting off. I've been told to put it in 3rd gear with a high push accelerator until it reaches the red line on the rev counter dial and drive up for a mile, andi have done so but the problem hasn't been resolved.

Dirve the vehicle at 50 MPH for at least 15 minutes on the highway/motorway ... the expense of the fuel used is better than replaceing the filter at a cost of around £1500 ...
