my car ysterday showed the engine diagnositic light nad came up with the message antipollution fault. the car feels fine and there is no smells and it drives fine. plases help

drive the car for 15/20 minutes at 50/60 mph on the motorway to clean the APF (anti polution filter) which is located in the exhaust and cost's around 1000 pounds to replace !!
