2000 Peugeot 206 Front Wheel Drive Manual 59740 miles

my peugeot 206 keeps chugging and losing power the engine management light comes on for a few minutes then the car cuts out, does start again straight away. Tried changing coil pack and spark plugs but still the same. Can you help me?
