After replacing the turn signal switch on the steering column, the vehicle will not start, pass lock?

My boyfriend replaced the turn signal switch on steering column. Now it won't start.

Can I ask if the security light is flashing when you try to crank the engine over? If not, then the pass lock has not been activated. If so, you can try a hard system reboot which will clear the systems and allow them to reboot.

Also, I would make sure the ignition switch is still plugged in, which can sometimes come undone when doing the turn signal switch. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
