Passenger side turn signals (front and back) not working

Everything else on the car is working fine. We replaced both of the bulbs and that didn't fix the issue. We checked the fuses and there doesn't appear to be a blown fuse. Our mechanic friend said it may be an issue with the relay, but the research I've done indicates that there is not a relay for the turn signals on this vehicle. What could be causing the turn signals to not work?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

If the bulbs are correct and good and there is power (fuses good), the next thing to check is the switch itself. To check it requires it to be removed and then to check for continuity in the different positions.

Here are the directions for removal and replacement. The attached pictures correlate with the directions,

LIGHT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See: Battery > Procedures > Negative Battery Cable Disconnection/Connection

2. Remove the column cover. See: Steering Column Cover > Removal and Replacement > Column Cover Removal/Installation

3. Rotate the steering wheel until the service hole in the position shown in the figure is visible.

4. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the service hole in the position shown in the figure.

5. While pressing the light switch tab in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure using a flathead screwdriver, pull out the light switch in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach the light switch tab from the start stop unit.

6. Remove the light switch.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

LIGHT SWITCH INSPECTION

Turn Switch

1. Remove the light switch. See: Headlamp Switch > Removal and Replacement > Light Switch Removal/Installation

2. Verify that the continuity between the light switch terminals is as indicated in the table.
