I tried for hours to remove the passenger CV axle. I had a neighbor help me. I got everything off, except the CV axle bearing. I can't for the life of me getting it out.

We used a slide hammer and all it did was get the inner joint to come apart. We tried using different things to hammer the other side of the bearing, but there is not enough clearance, even getting the engine mount off would be difficult, and the exhaust bolts are all rusted.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time. Quick question first. When you used the slide hammer were you able get the shaft out of the transmission or the spindle? I usually suggest using a large, thick pry bar and catch the closest to the joint as possible for a maximum fulcrum/leverage.Here is a tutorial showing what is involved:

Hope this helps and feel free to ask further questions on this issue. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
