Hi,

I just picked up my mom's car (S model) and I saw that the passenger airbag sensor light is on when a passenger is not in the seat. What would I have to do in order to turn off the light and correct the problem?

Thanks

Good morning,

There is a fault code stored in the module for the seat belts.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-a-safety-belt-works

I need that code to narrow the area of failure. A part store can read that code for you for free.

Once you get me that code, I can continue to help.

Hello,

Here is a video that shows how to get the air bag codes, but it sounds like the weight sensor is out in the passages seat.

Here is the airbag wiring diagrams so you can see how it works and how to replace the sensor.
