Is there any measures of the life of car parts that never get used? Just sit out in the elements or if it typically would be sheltered than sit under a hood of a car that never is run? That's the only way I can think of the depreciation of car parts if I can know how long they'll last unused compared to normal use.

Ok. Well are the seals expensive? Would the engine last 5 plus years if it just sits there and rusts from humidity?
