Parking brake strut bar

I am missing the back driver side parking strut and spring. Can I still drive it without it and if not where can I find one for it? I have checked auto parts stores in person and online? Also, can it be interchange with a Dodge Dakota part?

Hello,

Are you talking about the rear shock and the leaf spring?
If so, it is not advisable to operate a vehicle under that condition. It is not safe to drive and will cause further damage.

Those shocks seem to be available online as well as AutoZone or O'reilly's.

Got it. Without the parking brake strut that rear brake will not function. This will create uneven braking and will extend the braking distance.
It could be especially dangerous in a panic-breaking situation.
Typically, those struts are available in the rear drum brake kit. Were you not able to find a drum brake kit, with this part?

I have checked all the catalogs and they all show different part numbers.
Which tells us that they are physically different and probably not going to work.
Your option could be if you can find a wrecked Durango in a salvage yard and take off the brakes and use the strut out of that.
