Why did my parking brake light come on? When I'm not using the parking brake?

Hi,
It could be a few things. First, make sure the parking brake is fully released. If it is, next confirm the brake fluid in the reservoir is full. If it is low, it can cause the brake light to turn on.
The brake master cylinder is under the hood and mounted to the firewall. It is on the driver's side. I attached a pic for you below.
