So, I was trying to get out of my car this morning, and I noticed it rolled a bit forward towards another persona car. So, I tried turning on the parking brake, I pressed the pedal down (third one closest to driver's door) and I felt it give way. Now it is just floppy and doesn’t want to stay up, the car still moves. But I don't know if it's safe to drive right now. And what exactly is probably going on with it?

Any part of the system could have broken (probably the cable) so we will need to do an inspection to see what the problem is here is information.

This guide can help:

Broken parking brake cable: If the brake pedal has become "floppy" and does not hold its position, there's a chance that the parking brake cable has snapped. This cable connects the brake pedal to the brake mechanism, and if it breaks, the pedal will lose its tension.
