I am installing a new air conditioner compressor and accumulator, the compressor came pre-filled with 8 oz of PAG 48 oil, how much oil should I add to the accumulator (? oz)? The system will be flushed completely before I install the new components so there will be no residual oil.

normally you only flush from orfice to compressor but if doing complete system total oil is 24 ounces but you will not be able to get all of oil out so add another 12 ounces at absolute most. then evacuate system for at least 15 minutes followed by a Freon sweep then evac for another 5 minutes.
