About a month ago I had to replace the belt on it and reinstall the tensioner bolt after both came off of the car while driving one day. I've replaced the camshaft position sensor, the belt, the VVT Solenoid and a few other things. I know my coils, spark plugs, MAF Sensor and Injectors are all good.

I now have code P2177, which I know is Too Lean Off Idle. The issues I have are an erratic idle at startup and it evens itself out, light smoke coming from exhaust, and when I go to accelerate it will hesitate and then shoot forward like I slammed on the gas.

I cannot figure out why it's still having those symptoms, the only thing I can think of is that might need to replace the PCV Valve/Membrane.

Hello,

The P2177 code means that the system is too lean off idle for bank 1. The ECM constantly monitors the air-fuel ratio, and when it is found to be too lean off idle for bank 1, the Check Engine Light is set.

Possible causes that could set p2177:

Engine misfires

Faulty readings from the oxygen sensors

Air leaks in the intake

Low fuel pressure or not enough fuel

Fuel injector that has failed

MAF sensor is faulty

Please let us know if you require anything else.
