I don't feel anything wrong driving the car. I looked it up online and found out it is something that has to do with the air intake. I'm hearing it's either the motor or the whole intake manifold system that needs to be changed. How much is the price difference? If the motor is the problem, at 87,000 miles, is it worth changing the whole intake manifold?
Thanks.

Hi,

The code is specific to the variable charge motion (VCM). There is an actuator motor, and the flap is integral to the intake manifold.

I attached a pic below showing the location. Check to make sure the connector is in good condition and not damaged or loose.

If it is the actuator motor that has failed, that is what I would replace and not the entire intake.

Let me know if this is the only code you have and if you have other questions.

Take care,

joe
