When key on engine off the car is doing as shown in the video plus there is no communication. After when I turn the key to start position the car starts and goes to limp mode with p0882 but the code reader communicate with the car. Parts replaced: PCM and TIPM.

Hello,

First I would like to ask, was this problem the reason why you replaced the PCM and TIPM in the first place? Or did it start doing this right after they were replaced?

Regards,
Jon

Okay, let me check a few things over here. It sounds a wiring issue to me. Especially since the behavior started even before you did the replacement of the PCM and TPIM. I say assuming that neither of them had been touched before this happened. What I would suggest at this point is to start looking at the wires and connectors. You would be looking for smashed shorted or broken wires. Let me look through the diagrams and see what will help you the best.

The other thing is when there is no communication .5 volts reference is present so what I heard is if there is 5 volts reference than ground and power to the PCM are good. Also at the same time the PCM does not power up the transmission relay so the car goes to limp mode and no back up light also like you saw in the video the P N R 1 2 either disappear or all of them selected. Also, I forgot to tell the behavior is intermittent.

Hello, I am Danny.

Here is a wiring diagram for your vehicle. Have you checked the wiring for broken/corroded/burnt wires near the PCM? Just adding my two cents and hope this helps. I have attached a diagram and a few tutorials for you. Thanks again for using 2CarPros.

Since you say that it is intermittent, then I would definitely look for a broken wire, chafed wire shorting to ground or a damaged connector. That intermittent stuff happens to me all the time. They are the hardest things to troubleshoot! See the diagrams below.

While I am checking the wiring I have a question. Does PCM pin #24 red/gray (Gen Sens) connector #1 can cause the issue I have?
