I originally got this code 2 weeks ago, I replaced both my input and output sensor (output sensor wiring case had been nearly stripped clean so I knew it needed it). I also replaced my coolant sensor as well as drained and filled my transmission fluid 3 times (in the course of replacing input and output sensors) which was originally very black and at last drain a murky brown-red). I've attached my freeze frame that pulled the code, not sure what my next step is here.

Hi,

The issue could be a wiring problem, the toner ring that the sensor uses may be faulty, there could be a voltage related, and so on.

I attached the diagnostics below for the code. Take a look through them and let me know if you are comfortable performing them.

Take care,

Joe

Hi Joe,

Thank you for the guidance! My ISS voltage is not showing any change/reading. How would I preform the circuit/system testing?

Hi,

Were you able to check the voltage to the sensor? Do you have a scan tool that can do what is listed in the above tests?

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

I'm using an OBD2 reader that reads "vehicle speed sensor" and "control module voltage" previously they read "29 MPH" and "14.57 v" on the freeze frame and now they are both reading "0".

Hi,

I tried going through schematics but found there are two possible transmissions. See pic below.

By chance do you know which one you have?

Let me know.

Hi,

Now I'm confused. LOL They didn't offer the 1.4L as a non-turbo. See pic below.

Is it possible that you have a 1.8L?

Let me know.

Oh lord, that's my fault lol! Yes, it's a 1.8L!
And to add, I ended up taking it back apart yesterday to check the solenoids with a multimeter the solenoids were all within range. I cleaned the connectors again and I put it all back together- it did get to operating temperature and the light/code did not go back on. My scanner does not read the ISS or OSS (I was misreading it). Giving it a test drive today after a warmup and hoping for the best. Will keep you posted!
