So this code came up ony son's car. It is p0710 which is for the transmission fluid temperature sensor. I am pretty good at fixing cars with the right information. So can anyone tell me where this is located or direct me to a site or URL that will show me a picture of it and possibly a walk through on replacing? Thanks

Diagnostic fault codes never say to replace parts or that one is bad. They only indicate the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis, or the unacceptable operating condition. Temperature sensors have an extremely low failure rate because there is just one component inside them. You are much more likely to have a wiring or connector problem causing this code.

I am having trouble right now getting into my online service manuals, but I can tell you all temperature sensors have two wires. So far I found no indication your car has this sensor. I will look further tomorrow when the web site is hopefully working right.

I found it. The sensor is built into the solenoid pack. It is the green and black wires in the seven-pin connector. Check those terminals for corrosion, and do a visual inspection of the wires before suspecting the sensor. Also, use a scanner first to view live data and see exactly the signal voltage that is being reported for that sensor.
