On my car listed above VSA lamp with triangle VSA activation indicator lamp and Malfunction indicator lamp turned on at dashboard. Two p0302 codes with cylinder 2 misfire detected on IBDII detector.

symptoms:
During acceleration, the car hesitates if RPM increased to 60 mph. Was car could not accelerate more than 60 mph, and with hesitate.
I ordered a VSA switch. Now even at low mph car hesitates.
I replaced cylinder 2 spark plug, replaced engine oil filter.

Thanks for your instructions and helps!

I would worry about the P0302 code first, which is a misfire code for cylinder number 2. remove the spark plug and replace it along with the ignition coil which should fix it.

Here is a guide to help with more information:

This guide should help as well:

Clear the codes once the repair is completed. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.

A negative fuel trim indicates that the engine control module (ECM) is reducing the amount of fuel being injected because the engine is running rich. What did the number #2 spark plug look like was it black? If so, you could have low compression, or the fuel injector is stuck open. Use this guide to help check the compression:

Please go over this guide and get back to us.

Hi Ken,

Thank you so much for your precious instruction. I tested VSA switch was bad, and No. 2 spark switches also did not have resistances. And ordered them through eBay, but first round shaping from sellers who deal with Japanese parts, was all sent wrong sized parts, and did not replace with normal parts, and spark plugs included two of four defected plugs without resistances. I had to order new from different seller that took me 15 days to fix my car. Yesterday I eventually cleared the code and run drive cycles, and my car is running normal now. Again thanks!
