Code p0500

My car is the LE model with a 2.4 engine.
My car showing P0500 code and i did change Speed sensor also but again showing same code and odometer and wipers not working.

I would take the car to a dealer and see if there is a re flash for the PCM or TCM, there was a tech service note that mentioned this problem and a re flash that was recommended. this cannot be done by a general mechanic, they need assess to Toyota factory re calibration sire, call first and give them your cars details and they can look it up on there TSB's and let you know if this is the case.
