the cooling fan definitely has a three pin connector, i bought a new in the box fan from a salvage yard and that one had four pins so i took it back and got a new three pin cooling fan.
it ran great last week when the outside temperatures were reasonable, needle on the gauge stayed at middle, (½ way mark). then day before yesterday it pegged out after a little bit when i turned the AC on.
this morning it was low on coolant so i added some, bled the air out below the thermostat and drove it around the block some and it hasn't gone past the midrange on the gauge. i'm fixin to go about twenty miles and see if it holds or fails once the outside temperature gets to where it's going today.
but yes, the cooling fan connector is three pin and there are two cooling fan relays.
is the ground on the cooling fan relays, (pin 85), a chassis/battery ground?
