I had a diagnostic ran and the following code P0442 came up. I noticed I am missing a hose (image shown) but I have yet to find out where this goes. I've capped it and cleared the code and the check engine light does not come on anymore, but I know this isn't correct as the hose goes somewhere.

Hi,

The code indicates a small evaporative emissions system leak. Chances are the hose you capped off was where the problem was. However, I have no idea which hose you are referring to.

I attached a pic below of a portion of the EVAP system. This is of the charcoal canister located under the truck near the fuel tank. If that is where you found the hose, see if it is shown in the pic and let me know.

Take care,

joe

Hi,

I attached two pics below of that area. I don't see the vacuum hose in anything. How big in diameter is it? Also, if you remove the plug, do you feel a vacuum with the engine running?

Let me know.

Joe
