When I'm driving my car randomly stalls and shuts off. I have to drift to the side of the road and try several times before it will restart. Check engine light came on and gave the code p0335. I took it and had it checked, they said the crankshaft position sensor was fine and so was the wiring and said the PCM would need fixed. I took it to the dealership and had it replaced, about 2 weeks later it has now stalled and shut off while driving again. What else could it be?

Good morning,

They missed the boat on this code. Whoever told you it was the PCM jumped the gun. In most cases, this code is electrical wiring between the PCM and the crank sensor itself.

I attached a wiring diagram and possible issues that must be checked before doing anything. The loss of the 5 volt signal is the most common issue.

Okay, do you have the same issue with the same code?

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/car-cranks-but-wont-start

If you did, I would have the shop recheck there work to be sure there is not the same damage.

What was wrong with the wiring that they repaired?

Did you check to see if it was the same code?
