I've already changed the spark plugs. There seemed to be a little bit of oil on the old ones. Normal?
Is there anyway you could tell me what all I should check and in what order so that I can fix this?
I'm good at changing parts. It's the diagnosis part I haven't learned yet.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

The first thing I need you to do is check for spark to the new plug. If you follow the directions in this link, it will explain how it's done.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-an-ignition-system

Next, when you replace the spark plug, you remove an ignition coil from it. What I would like you to do is switch that coil (cyl 2) with a different coil on the engine. Then clear the code and run the engine to see if the misfire changes from cyl 2 to the one you switched the coil to.

If it does, then replace the coil.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
