I only get a misfire and EPC if I accelerate hard and go past half throttle. If I say below half throttle the engine will continue to rev out till redline with no issues or hiccups. I have swapped the coils of cylinder 1 and 2 and it still shows up on 2. If I stay below half throttle everything is fine. A while ago I also got an intermittent misfire as well as a pedal position code. I've replaced the gas pedal and now it only throws a P0302. Carbon cleaning was done within 20,000 miles as well as air filter and spark plugs. No tune has been done.

I would start by replacing the #2 spark plug it could be defective/cracked. If that doesn't make a difference the next step would be the fuel injector. Here is how to change it out in case you need it and I have included a guide you should go over as well.

Hello,
It was a crack in the spark plug! Number 2 was bad as the crack was around the bottom of the upper part running up slightly. Number three was barely visible. Replaced the spark plugs and upgraded the coils. Thank you so much for the information. I just replaced them, but it goes to show, check the easy stuff first. Thanks again!
