P0135 sensor heater malfunction

My car is due for a smog check and said it would not pass because of the p0135 sensor heater. Feedback on how to fix this would be really helpful. Thank you.

Yes, the heated O2 sensor is a part of the emissions system. O2 sensors are located in the exhaust system and are replaceable. Here is a diagram for your O2 sensor location. After replacement you will need to have check engine light turned off and the vehicle will have to be driven to reset system. I would suggest around fifty miles mileage before attempting to smog check vehicle. If not enough mileage the shop performing test will not be able to do so by vehicle system not being ready.
