Hi, it overheated, and I replaced the coolant sensor and thermostat, and radiator cap with an error code P0117 and engine light still on.

Should I try another sensor? I hired a man to put that part in, because I wasn't sure where it was. (Underneath the back of the ignition box, right? Under wires 1,3,5)

I was thinking maybe he broke it putting the new one in... because he was not very knowledgeable.

This code indicates the voltage is not correct, which most of the time is the sensor or the sensor connection. here is the correct way to replace the sensor with instructions in the diagrams below to show you how. Also did you clear the codes after the work was done? Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

I don't know how to clear the codes. I also see that the guy hired to come to the house did not partially remove some coolant before removing the sensor. Also, I just noticed there is a hose disconnected. see photo. I have no idea where that goes. I had taken the car to a mechanic, and he didn't speak much English I think he disconnected my hose. Now the engine light blinks when I turn on the car. I can't get the P0117 to show any more after turning the key three times.

Thanks, I figured it out, then I took the van to a mechanic. It's something that has to be handled after the van is raised up. That's why it keeps over heating/engine light.
