Hello! I just recently changed my alternator, battery, throttle body, and ABS wheel speed sensor! I’ve been able to drive my vehicle listed above Denali, but then it will randomly just power down. I hooked it up to the scanner and got a P0023 “Exhaust Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Control Circuit Bank 2” and P1902 “Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Voltage” I’ve been digging trying to figure out repair information and only find for a 4.3 engine which I have a 5.3! Anyone have any ideas?

The P0023 can cause the P1902 code so let's concentrate on fixing that one. Since the error code is a circuit failure. I need to confirm the engine size though because the 5.3 does not have an Exhaust Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve? So, can you please double check for me?

It’s definitely a 5.3 engine, that’s why it’s super weird that it’s throwing the code in the first place & it’s stored in the lift gate module.

It could be a false positive, let's clear the codes to see what happens. How does the car seem to run?

Please follow this video to clear the codes:

Please go over this guide and report back.

I’ve cleared the codes multiple times. It just still shuts off randomly. From researching I’ve found that these trucks seem to have problems with the fuse boxes under the hood so I’m going to be replacing it to see if it helps.
