Hello,
The Crankshaft position sensor is located on the lower back part of the engine on the driver side.
See diagram below for your reference.
The code P0016 gets triggered due to issues with the Camshaft position sensor not the crankshaft position sensor.
P0016 - Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation - Bank 1 Sensor A
The camshaft sensor is located on the back of the engine on the upper part (see the third attachment)
Keep in mind that the code P0016 can get triggered for a number of different reasons.
This could be due to camshaft timing incorrectly set, excessive wear on the timing chain, faulty harness, bad camp position sensor etc.
I have attached the diagnostic guide for the code P0016 below.
You have noted the engine as the ecoboost but selected the 3.7L which is correct? As the ecoboost is 3.5L.
